Using macOS Ventura with a broken built-in Bluetooth?
If your MacBook’s built-in Bluetooth is completely broken or physically damaged, the Hideez Dongle can fully restore Bluetooth functionality. In this case, the dongle acts as a complete replacement for the internal Bluetooth module. This full recovery capability is currently available only on macOS Ventura.

Preconditions
Before you begin, make sure the following requirements are met:
Your Mac is running macOS Ventura (13.0) or later.
The Hideez Setup Application is downloaded and ready to use.
You have a free USB port to plug in the Hideez Dongle.
Bluetooth is enabled on your Mac.
You have Administrator rights on the computer.
Set up the Dongle using the application
Step 1: Download and Install the Hideez Dongle Setup App
Download the installer: Hideez Dongle Setup.dmg
Open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to complete installation.

Step 2: Insert the Dongle into a USB Port
Insert the Bluetooth dongle into an available USB port on your Mac.
Step 3: Launch the Application
Open the Hideez Dongle Setup app from your Applications folder.
If prompted, grant the necessary permissions for the app to access Bluetooth settings.

Step 4: Click Setup
Follow the on-screen prompts in the application to complete the configuration.


Enter your user password if requested.

Step 5: Restart Your Mac
Restart your Mac to apply the changes.

Step 6: Verify Configuration
After your Mac restarts, go to System Preferences → Bluetooth and ensure the external dongle is selected as the active Bluetooth device.

Step 7: Turn on Bluetooth (if needed)
If Bluetooth is turned off, toggle it on in System Preferences → Bluetooth.
