Setting up Hideez Dongle on Windows

Step 1

Download Driver.

Step 2

Option 1 "If your PC doesn't have an internal Bluetooth 4.0 LE adapter"

Adding new external Bluetooth Adapter:

  1. Open Device Manager.

  2. Select by double-clicking Universal Serial Bus Controllers - a list of devices will open.

  3. Insert the Bluetooth dongle into your USB port - Bluetooth dongle (CSR BlueCore Bluetooth) will appear in the list that opened under Universal Serial Bus Controllers. If the dongle does not appear, then try inserting it into the USB port again or try inserting it into another USB port.

4. Select with right-clicking CSR BlueCore Bluetooth and click Update driver. 5. Click on Browse my computer, and specify the path to the folder with the driver. The driver you have already downloaded in Step 1.

Option 2 "If your PC has a built-in Bluetooth"

Disabling an old Bluetooth adapter:

  1. Open Device Manager.

  2. Select Bluetooth.

  3. Select with right-clicking the built-in Bluetooth and click Disable device.

If an alert pops up recommending you restart your pc, restart it.

4. Go to Option 1 "If your PC doesn't have an internal Bluetooth 4.0 LE adapter" and proceed with all the described steps.
